South-Point Pier was purchased in 1970 for $7M, despite complaints from local fishermen Construction continued through the 80s. The park at the time consisted of two Vekomas, and two arrow coasters. The parks hotel was constructed in the 90's. The second Vekoma since has been removed, and replaced with a Maurer Söhne X-Coaster. The year is now 2000, the parks management has been changed to more ambitious owners who are quoted with saying "We will take this park to new heights"

Here are pictures of the park at its current state.

This letter was submitted by an unanimous fan. The only question we can ask is it authentic?

Well today I got as legally close to the park on my boat as possible, and as I was approaching the shoreline I was in utter disbelief at the immensity of this expansion. It has almost doubled the park in size. The park has really taken a step into the twenty-first century with some of these rides. Obviously two old wooden coasters aren't taking a step toward the future, but some of the flat-rides are state of the art. The park is doing a great job at building this, count the number of cranes on site; it is ridiculous I cannot wait for opening day!

We were waiting for Paramore to come and say what we all were going to say, it's a lot easier that way.

It is halfway through the season here, and of course speculation of new attractions, and many other things start to fly around. Where I am going with this is the park has released, or slipped one of the two their yearly projected expenses graph. As you can see last year clocking in at around 32M. Next season's projected expenses are at around 24M-25M. Oddly high; we will just have to wait, and see if anyone hears or sees anything.
