Just the beginning of a K'nex coaster I am designing.  All I have is the lift hill, and due to a shortage of pieces, that's all it's going to be until Christmas.  Enjoy!Take note of the weird supports.See?  The orange peices at the bottom of one of those supports?  That's what I mean by a shortage of blue peices.  I can't even support the lift right! The view down the lift hill.  I don't have enough chain to use on this hill, so I'll have to push it up.  See how the pieces are uneven and broken in some places?  That's the result of having a kitten.  (first pic)See?  Definate shortage of blue pieces. The full lift hill shot.

That's all for today. . . and probably a very long time.  Kevin, I might've misplaced this thread.  My Meebo bar won't load, and I can't remember, so I took a wild guess.  Bye for a long time!

Ah, someone else you wants to take on the challenge of a K'nex coaster. I like it, I understand the problems of not having enough pieces. I have thousands of just rods but little for the track. I hate how K'nex changed to this type of track instead of the old one.

I'm glad to see more stuff then just RCt3 and NoLimits in this forum. If you guys want, I could add a section for "Coaster Models"

I used to make Knex coasters, but I stopped after one of the cars broke.

Hmm, what's the probability that there will be many posts on that topic? I still think you should open up a section, just in case anyone wants to post stuff. I think your cat wants to ride it first! Haha. Hope to see updates!

^Yes, we used to have a section for it, but no one used it, so I removed it. I will add it back if I see more projects with Model coasters.

Well, regardless of how frequently its used, there should be one still. I imagine several people on youtube who build Knex coasters haven't touched No Limits and/or RCT3, so it could be a win-win for everyone. Your site grows with more followers, people projects become more well known (which would eventually lead to more Youtube subscriptions), and so on :)

It would also increase the popularity of the forum!

I already knew about CoasterDynamix, but I didn't get any because they were too expensive.  Look at the store!  One set is most likely over $200!

That reminds me of my old train set.  I used to like trains a LOT when I was really young before I started to get into roller coasters.

Just so you know, this is a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT coaster than the one I had before.  I built this in about an hour...... how's it look to you guys? This is the launch.  The station will be raised, and the coaster will complete a large turn before launching.  After launch, there is another turn, though this one leads into a vertical hill.  Halfway through the hill, the chain will catch the train, and pull it over the top of the lift hill.  I'm not sure about the layout after the drop. All I've done so far.  There are extra supports supporting the twist now.Afetr the twist, the coaster will turn around the structure with a powerful 180 degree turn.Structure.View from the first drop.  Keep in mind that there are supports here now.Top o' the lift hill erm, mornin', to ya'.

So, do you think I should replace the dive loop/twist with a straight drop (think Hollywood RRR) or keep this?  I will also take custom suggestions.  Thank you!  Constructive critisism please!
