Its too rough to keep open. someone died on it and they fixed the problem but after that it just ran into problems after 2006 it RARLY stayed open.

Anyway i'm heading there tomarrow and i WILL go on Firehawk, diamondback, and the windseeker

I love the random fact posting with no backing, if you can prove it I will believe it, but as of now no one has died on Son of Beast.  Let's try not to make this forum look like a bunch of brainless kids.

Oh yea?

Reported injuries on Son of Beast determined not to be fault of ride

In 2001, two incidents occurred, one of which involved a broken neck and the other, a broke vertebra. An ODA investigation concluded both rides were a result of a pre-existing condition and the ride was functioning properly.

In 2003, someone who injured their back on the ride was admitted to the hospital for treatment. No evidence was found of malfunction.

In 2007, a man who was taken to the hospital died the next day. Again, no evidence was found of malfunction.

Read the last one.

Dude, you MUST ride Flight of Fear! Trust me, that ride is worth a 1 hour line wait. I count that ride to beat Diamondback by a tad ;) Or it could be because It's my first launch and Premier coaster, along with the fact that Diamondback is my 2nd hypercoaster that i've ridden. But i'll admit, that splashdown finale gives that ride extra bonus points. The only rides i got on Diamondback during my 1 day trip there was in the very back seat (yes, i had to ride it in the back with getting yanked around everywhere), car 6 back row, and the near front of the ride (car 3). In the back, your holding for breath on that drop while your also getting a lot of airtime once your going down every hill (And I sort of messed up my neck for the day with that happening because of the high G's on Invertigo that my head was facing down going backwards.) The only think that I didn't like about diamondback was the hammerhead. It seemed more of a simple 180 degree turnaround then with the slight turn going in and out of the element.

While I don’t know exactly what may be involved in the rumored “fixing” of Son of Beast for 2012, I’m told that whatever takes place will be the ride’s last shot. If it doesn’t work, we can expect to see Son of Beast demolished to may way for a new ride in the future.
