Hey guys. So I just recently came into quite a bit of money, and seeing that I've always wanted to visit both of these parks, I was wondering if any one had advice as to which park has better deals regarding hotels, ticket prices, and travel, preferably by train as it would be less expensive than airfare. Also, do the parks have buses going to and from certain hotels, as I do not own a vehicle and am awaiting my picture license.

The maximum limit I want to spend in total is between $500-$600, food included. And if I do decide to do this, what days are the best to go and will anyone else be going at that time?

I say fly to Tampa FL, and ride Cheetah Hunt with me and Crzynss.
I'm not sure about ticket prices though.. for the parks it should be around the same price.

I was thinking about that as well. But I imagine the cost in total would exceed $600

Kings Island has shorter lines and not very good coasters. Cedar Point has great coasters and long lines. I say Cedar Point.

Well cost is going to be the determining factor of where I go, IF I can go :P So does anyone know of any good ticket and hotel deals at either park? And if there is a bus that goes between the hotels and park (although does Cedar Point have an entrance to the park from its hotel, like what DCA has?

Go to Castaway Bay. Awesome indoor water park. A couple minutes from the park, and it's owned by Cedar Fair.

I really don't know about hotel prices, because I live so close :P

I would say go to Cedar Point on a day when nobody's there, because the rides are amazing and the lines get horribly long (2 hrs+) in the summer weekends.

If you don't mind staying off the island (I don't know if that's a good word for it)for Cedar Point, then you can stay at the Breakers Hotel (I think it's called that). It's cheaper, has early-entrance tickets, and it's quite a nice hotel. There is a convenient McDonald's across the street as well. I would choose Cedar Point because of its over-all value as compared to Kings Island.
