Highland Lake started as a prominent town landmark. Featuring a beautiful lake, hills, and mountains surrounding the park. The lake started to attract crowds from more than just the local area. Lodges, and housing started going up around and near the lake. Within the next ten years Highland Lake was thriving, until a fire wiped out nearly everything. For seven years the lake lay untouched, unvisited. Then a businessman John Milton bought the land, and started building. What came up shocked the local area amusement park rides slowly were built. The park continued to grow, and grow.

An old map of Highland Lake, and surrounding land

Throughout the years as people started to have more free time, and working hours were restricted by the government, At this point the park was of a decent size having classic rides such as the ferris wheel, chair-swings, carousel, bumper cars, and paddle boat, but John Milton decided it was time to cash in on all of the profit he had made from the park, and construct the parks first coaster. John Milton went to Fred W. Pearce to construct the park's first wooden coaster "The Cyclone."

A picture of "The Cyclone"

After the construction of the Cyclone the park remained the same no new additions the only thing that would change is the restaurant's food menus. No rides were removed or sold, but no new rides were added which confused the locals, and some started speculating that the park was failing. All of their speculation came true when John Milton announced the park would close if money wasn't raised

The park's owner was trying to come up with enough money to keep the park going. Locals sent money, visited the park, donated, held fundraiser but unfortunately he could not come up with the funds, and the park was shut down.

John Milton had to find a buyer for the park, which was no easy task. He had a lot of trouble finding a buyer for a park that was shut down, due to lack of popularity. It took about three years, but he found a buyer who was enthusiastic to be the new owner of Highland Lake Amusement Park.

Welcome to the modern day!

Highland lake evolved into a larger theme park. Most of the older rides stayed at the park, and the front of the park never really changed. The park's major investments included a brand new Intamin mega coaster. The park's second largest investment was a GCI wooden coaster with a fast twisting layout. Highland Lake only has one Water ride, but the new owner vowed to change that. The owner says that his plans for the park will take the park to new levels of thrills.

The park in the modern age.

The park's only water ride.

Here are some random pictures of the park seeing as how I can't include every update:

More updates to come soon!

Well then I can't wait for more updates!  South Point was awesome, and if you say this is gonna be better, this could possibly be the best RCT3 park ever made.

Hey guys today was opening Day at the park, not much to comment on I will just move to the pictures!

This is the new look at the front of the park, kind of sad that boomerang is gone.

This is the first ride you see when you come into the park.

Renegade was closed on opening day, that is very odd!

This is the station to the mine train coaster, the station is kind of scary looking!

A rock formation across the lake.

And last a night shot.

More to come soon!

Nice brief message. But I laughed hard at the last name. Pantalon (without the e) means pants in french. This park seems the outmost realistic out of all the parks I've seen on this forum. Great job!
