In 1995 a wealthy buisness owner purchased several hundred of acres of plains in central Nebraska. Soon enough, several rides appeared and Fairfield Park was founded. The project began quite ambitiously, as the owner looked to create a park to rival Six Flags and Cedar Fair parks. However, in 2002 his company was bought out. Eventually, later that year he couldn't fund the park anymore, and was forced to close the doors on a fairly sucessful amusement park.  It was closed for several years, and it still remained intact. But now, in 2011, a new, anonymous owner has purchased the park. Activity has been seen, including the addition of footers around the back of the park.  Rumour says that the buyer may be the son of the original owner, looking to carry out his fathers dream. Some photos of the park just before its closing show it at the current state.

Overview of the park, Including its Vekoma Boomerang, Black Diamond. It also contains a wooden roller coaster, designed by the owner of the park and independently constructed. Over the lake sits a classic 1980s log flume ride, bought and transported from another park .

The Log Run, with Power, a drop tower in the foreground.

The parks independently designed woodie, Timbers

And the Vekoma Boomerang, Black Diamond. Hopefully I can make another trip to the park in a few months and get some pictures of it in the current state.

^And you don't remember this? :P

Lol, anyways, RCT2 projects haven't been that common lately and I'm glad that people still make them.  RCT2 is one of the best PC games ever released.

Exciting news from the Park! It has REOPENED! The have been some small improvements. However a LARGE thing has also improved. A new coaster named Stallion is beginning to emerge near the back of the park. Things are looking good for an amazing future if the park. I have noticed, however, the park management is continuing to use a theme with many pine trees, and an old mine theme.Enough of the talking though, let's get to the big photo!

Let's hope this coaster turns out as great as it looks. I will post another update upon it's completion, and show off the rest of the park!

The new coaster is complete! Dubbed Stallion its one wild ride. Top speeds reach nearly 70 miles per hour! Along with this, there is more exciting news toward the end of the update. So stay tuned!

Firstly, an overview of the park with stallion in place!

Bit of a closeup. This coaster is really twisted!

And an overall view of the coaster.

The exctiting news comes now, with this photo taken today. Apparently there is no time to waste in park expansion...

Early signs point to a very large coaster, similar to Magnum Xl-200

It kinda seems like a Magic Mountain to be honest.  Lots of good coasters, but just not enough flat rides.  I would suggest adding some flat rides.  Other then that, it looks good :)

I plan on adding another drop tower and go karts so the flat rides should be covered for now

during the setup for the custom scenerio i actually made all the guests prefer more intense rides. so thats the reason for the lack of kiddie rides

Shouldn't an Arrow hyper look like the hyper coasters (not to be mixed with Hyper Twister Coasters)? I believe one ride called Hurricane is a Arrow hyper (pre-built) in the game. That would make more sense. No?

The construction of a new hyper coaster, called Intimidator, has really been moving. Much like his father, the current owner of the park has designed the coaster himself, including the track type, a cross between a Vekoma Arrow and a more B&M like track. Lets hope it turs out as fast and smooth as it seems!

This drop is incredible so far!

More update to come soon!

Following along wit hthe story of the park, the owner actually is in to designing coasters himself, just as his father did wheen the park first opened. Thats the story reason. Real life reason, it looks pretty decent and thats the cheapest steel coster I can do what I want with. :P
