I created this to discuss what you would like to see, and possibly some rumours about your favorite parks. To start off I have a few things to say. 1.) Kennywood With the removal of the pittfall, Kennywood is falling farther behind other parks in the area. I know it is somewhat of a family park, but any time I go there, being my home park, I really see ALOT of younger people. If you want kids attractions, go to kiddie land! With the pittfall removed, there needs to be something to match up in thrills. However I have the worst feeling that KW is gonna lay a gaint terd. The attraction they choose will most likely not be a large version of whatever they pick. Rumour says something not in the area? So what does that mean? Any ideas? I still have to mention that that is simply a rumour... My fear is that Kennywood brings back the Turnpike. Sure the ride is a classic, but a moved and changed version, with the same old cars and track style, really takes away from the one thing a ride like that has going, and that is being a classic. A new turnpike, in my opinion is a terrible idea. Now for the DREAM part. Kennywood has very little space to do anything with. There is some room behind and under the phantom, but the area is totally barren. There isn't even any major access. If KW ever wants to add another coaster, I will have to be one of two things, either some type of impulse coaster or something similar to Green Lantern, basically a very very compact ride. Kennywood can't remove any of its rides or builings either, as most are protected by a National Historic Landmark status. So here is what I'm Proposing. The Return of The Phantom This is my plan... Keep the same basic layout as the first two hills of Phantom and Phantoms revenge, except add a few more feet, maybe 20 or 30. Possibly a new manufacturer, maybe B&M??? I know this is a stretch but bear with me. I would love to see the second drop near 300 feet and 90-95 mph. The landscape at Kennywood could create an AMAZING COASTER! Imagine the breathtaking drops of Millenium or Levithan, with the inversions of Incredible Hulk. When the original Phantom was built it was considered too rough. But new technology could be great. Any KW fans or anyone who wants to do a little research into the park could come up with some awesome coaster ideas! Tell me them! 2.) Cedar Point Cedar point is on the verge of 5 years without a new coaster. Since 2000 it was been 3 and then 4 years between coasters, and those 3 rides, Millenium, TTD and Maverick are some of the best in the world. Where is coaster 18? Rumour has it that CP is possibly removing disaster transport for a new coaster, but it would have to be of the small variety. The other partly confirmed construction at CP this off season is a re-tracking of Mean Streak. Personally I loved it, but the problem was I literally walked right on to a train... no line at all. People are scared of that ride. My "dream" for cedar point is this... 1.) Retrack/ Reprofile meanstreak into a hybrid, similar to New Texas Giant. 2.) Replace Disaster Transport with a compact coaster, Superman: Escape From Krypton, ETC 3.) Build a praking garage in the lot, maybe only 2 or three levels, to allow the north end of parking behind demon drop to be made into a Dive Machine, one of the only major coaster types not in the park. 4.)This is more of a question, would It be feasable to add to TTD and make it taller than Kingda Ka??? And on the extreme end, FILL IN Lake Erie and build HUGE COASTERS So thats my opinions. Feel free to say what you would do in your home park, and also give me some feedback on my ideas!

Well my home park was bought by Cedar Fair, and they moved all the roller coasters away so there is only a water park left. I would have been really happy if they had kept it because I was too young at the time to really appreciate it As far as Cedar Point goes (the next closest park to me) I think that the trouble that they have is a lack of space and there really isn't anything worth replacing in the area (except mean streak). In the future I would love to see what they do to that ride because it is a joke keeping it open for a long time.

Well, remember that parks have to cater to whatever is going to get them a higher attendance, which usually translates to how do we get moms and dads spending their money here instead of Universal or Disney (granted, no one BUT Universal can compete with Disney, and vice versa). And there's a lot more that goes into expanding than we think-I can imagine that Cedar Fair has to contend with a lot of environmental groups, especially marine based ones as far as Cedar Point goes. Just look at what Sea World San Diego had to do, just to get a coaster that's barely 40ft tall! But as far as dreaming for my home park, well, my home park is mainly Six Flags Magic Mountain. I'm one of the ones sad to see Log Jammer go, because it was my favorite flume. Even though Knotts' and Disneylands' are well themed, LJ is just much better imo. But I can see why they would choose to let it go instead of Arrowhead. The one ride I would want ripped out, though, is Goliath. Its one moment of massive airtime isn't enough for me personally to keep it. Its no longer a record holder, and not as thrilling as it once was. And the land it sits on can be used for at least two or three more attractions. So here is my dream for the park: 1. Both Deja Vu and LJ's areas are big enough for a family coaster. A good sized Intamin or Gerstlauer spinner would fit perfectly in either of them, and would boost the family appeal for the park (which the park does desperately need) 2. More flat rides. 3. A terrain launched Intamin coaster that zips in, around, and over Superman. It would give the ride a unique, well hidden layout that could provide some great moments of airtime. 4. A B&M Dive Machine in Goliath's spot. It would provide the perfect, much needed thrill on the right side of the park, while leaving enough room for another flat ride or two. 5. A sort of 'Bugs Bunny World' esque family area on the left side of the park, between Viper and X2, or at least nearby Viper. And finally, 6. Move Hurricane Harbor to the land on the other side of the parking lot (or the entry to it). The land would give the water park PLENTY of room to expand, while also giving the theme park some more room to add other rides.

Six Flags Discovery Kingdom has someting like a zoo section along with the regular portion. It's good to attract kids, and I guess it should stay. The only thing is it seems like SFDK really needs a water park portion. The problems are the lake next to it probably isn't big enough and there isn't really any spare room. And I'd like to see a eurofighter at SFMM. They have many rollercoasters but not that type.

I really need to get to SFMM lol. As far as the whole Mean Streak issue, I think its a real shame if that coaster was removed. CP needs to re-track the ride like I suggested before. Or they really have the option to remove it and build a new woodie. I just feel like CP won't be the same without a massive woodie. If it is removed, in needs replaced with some kind of woodie over 150 feet.

Forgot another park that is more or less my home park. Pacific Park is a small collection of rides on the Santa Monica Pier, near where my dad lives. The rides consist of a Ferris Wheel, Gyro Loop, Frog Hopper, Pirate Ship, a medium sized drop tower, and a few other small flats. Its main attraction is its Morgan coaster, simply called West Coaster. While the park doesn't have to be big enough to compete with the big SoCal parks, I feel like, if the park owners, or owner of the pier itself, could convince the city council, it could easily become the west coast version of Nickeleodon Universe, or the revamped Coney Island. Here's how I enivision it: 1. Convert the whole pier to the park, plus the beach's parking lot. Most of the attractions that are on the pier but not a part of the park would remain. The parking lot on the pier itself could be converted into area where the park's new big thrill, a decent sized Eurofighter, would sit. 2. The beach's parking lot (on the left of the entrance to the pier) could be used for a few new flats and/or a new spinning coaster. 3. Convert a relatively small area of the beach surrounding the pier into the rest of the park, to use as both a new parking lot, and area for more attractions.

Worlds of Fun Oh Worlds of Fun, you never seem to amaze me at anything. Sure, Prowler is here, but what other legendary ride is at the park? Nothing. Here's what I say... Retrack and reprofile Timber Wolf. It can be a good ride sometimes, but it desperately needs help. So that's when I'd call in Rocky Mountain Construction and do their magic to Timber Wolf. That seems to be the only bad issue about Worlds of Fun. Although, they really need help from Intamin. The park has never had an Intamin, so it would be nice to get a Blitz behind Mamba's helix. I don't know, the park just needs a pickup attraction.
