After removal of the Pittfall, Kennywood has announced there will be a new ride for 2012. They stated that the ride would be one not found in any parks in the area. I do have some information about the new ride however! My Aunt is involved in excavation behind the Exterminator. Though she can't tell me any specifics, she even knows the NAME of the new ride... which kinda sucks that she can't talk about it. I have prepared a picture of the site...

The red is land cleared by removal of the Pittfall. The orange land is being excavated and cleared now. And the yellow area is a very useable area for rides. I feel like it is an extreme longshot, but could this be some type of coaster?? At the bottom of the orange and yellow area is a restroom building. If it is removed things could get interesting! If it is'nt a coaster, which is likely, what could it be?

As far as coasters, I'm speculating another Wingrider.

Edit: Maybe not, the area looks a little too small (at least from the picture)

Remember this is Kennywood, Arrow, Premier, and two companies I have never heard of.  B&M wingrider just doesn't fit in for some non-big spenders when it comes to coasters.

They could easily get a B&M coaster if they wanted to, if Tivoli Gardens could get a small B&M floorless named Daemonen Kennywood could easily get one. And John A. Miller is not a coaster company he has to be one of the best coaster designers of all time.

I'd like to see some S&S power or more premier. Something with the same track style as Powder Keg. :P

You tried to correct me and it failed, let's count how many coasters Kennywood has...7, one Arrow (Phantom), one Premier (Skyrocket), one Reverchon (Exterminator) and one Molina & Sons (Lil Phantom) Then you have two designed by John A. Miller (Jackrabbit, and Racer), and one unknown designer (Thunderbolt).  Thank you, my original post still stands correct.

your wrong phantoms revenge is pretty much all morgan now except for the station, lift and breaks those are still arrow track. And thunderbolt was originally designed by John Miller but then was expanded by Andy Vettel

Okay you have me on the Thunderbolt, but Phantom was designed by Arrow, nothing can change that, and it's brakes.

Phantom's Revenge history lession

It was originally called steel phantom when it opened in 1991 it was made by arrow dynamics and had 4 inversions. during the 2000-2001 season Morgan was brought in the remove the loops, increse the height and the length. In 2009 they brought Morgan in again to replace the remaining track except for the station, lift and the break track. So technically it was made by arrow but its now a morgan hyper coaster.

Its kinda like saying The New Texas Giant is still a Dinn corperation coaster.

Arrow designed it and built it up until it was turned into a hyper. Morgan was hired to remove the loops and therefore, it's known as a Morgan hyper coaster. Morgan's track work on Phantom is no doubt similar to their other coasters. So, it does in fact back up the fact that's it's a Morgan.

Texas Giant was designed and built by Curtis D. Summers (Dinn Corporation), yet Rocky Mountain Coasters did the re-track, added 10 feet more on the drop and gave it's turn much more banking. Nonetheless, it still is in fact a Dinn Corperation design.

Does it really matter what you call it? Arrow, Morgan, who cares. There's no need to make a big debate about it.

Consider it a hybrid of both. The design was originally Arrow, but the overhaul was Morgan. Simply call it an Arrow-Morgan coaster if you must, there's hardly a difference in their track design anyway.

Either way, while I don't want to appear as a back-seat moderator (and I apologize if I am), could we get back to the original topic? It'd be nice to hear what speculations everyone has about the new ride.

Yeah i never expected such a debate :p if it is a flat ride its HUGE judging by the amount of land being cleared. if it is a coaster footers should be up soon. I also have a connection t othe company in charge of footers for the skyrocket... so i may be able to get some info.... stay tuned.

Lession...lesson?  Do not try to lecture me, I am not a dumbass like you think I am.  Maybe try to spell a bit better and I will take you more seriously, and seriously what is your problem?  Here is your original problem:

"John A. Miller is not a coaster company he has to be one of the best coaster designers of all time."

Here is your next:

" your wrong phantoms revenge is pretty much all morgan now except for the station, lift and breaks "

So what's next that you are going to HAVE to find wrong?  it's all a matter of opinion on who gets the credit for the ride when TWO companies have so much influence on it.

Moving back on topic here is what I want at Kennywood ;)

Haha this is obviously a joke, I only want Skyrush at Hersheypark :P

Why is there such a huge debate over this? Maybe that's why there aren't so many posts on the forum nowadays. They don't feel like the forum represents a friendly atmosphere anymore. I don't like where this argument has ended up, but.. I sure think it's childish.

Keep persuading your aunt Mitchell! Gotta get her to get some information out. I'm hoping it's a coaster since a flat ride wouldn't take that much space. Who knows it might even be a new area..?

And Gravity Flyers and Cody... stop fighting! :P

Good for you, because I would rather have Skyrush over a standard cut and paste B&M designed coaster.
